Sugar Free Christmas Truffle Tree
This recipe is a paid collaboration with Healtheries.
It's Christmas season which means lots of shared lunches and dinners with friends and family. I wanted to create a dessert centre piece for a pre-Christmas dinner with a few of my closest friends so I came up with this Christmas Truffle Tree. I made it sugar free, gluten free and low carb but I wanted the wow factor in there so that everyone would be reaching to try one.
Healtheries has a new range of sugar free chocolate which for a chocolate lover like me is so exciting. What caught my eye was the 99% Sugar Free Baking Bits in Dark Chocolate and the No Sugar Added Baking Bits in Milk Chocolate. I love that they are naturally sweetened with stevia and only contain sparse levels of natural sugar from the cocoa. I hunted them down, found them at my local New World, bought a few packets and use them in place of regular chocolate to make these sugar free versions of my favourite truffles!

LETS MAKE IT
To create this, I picked up a few things that were needed - firstly, a polystyrene cone which you can find in your local craft shop – we got ours from Spotlight.
We melted the chocolate and brushed this over the polystyrene cone before popping it into the fridge to set. This helps so that you can’t see the white polystyrene in between the small gaps once your truffles are placed on it.
We made all our truffles and then took tooth picks and assorted these over cone and added the truffles to each toothpick.
I’d recommend transferring this onto a large decorative plate or a cake stand for displaying.
