The Most Instagramable Cocktails in Auckland

If there’s one thing I love, it’s a delicious cocktail that is ‘gram worthy and Grand Windsor’s new Luxetail menu is full of yummy Instagramable cocktails!

Last Thursday evening, Cooke’s Restaurant & Bar in Hotel Grand Windsor launched their new Luxetails menu and I was invited along to an evening with friends to try it out for myself.

Every time I visit Hotel Grand Windsor, I’m in love with aesthetic! It oozes elegance in a timeless way that has me looking like the heart eye emoji in real life.

The new cocktail menu features six unique cocktails - like nothing you’ve seen before. Individually designed to be spectacular their intriguing flavours and stunning presentation will have you in awe.

The beautiful Rhia Woods and I paired up twinning with our drinks for fear of FOMO. We chose ‘Another Eye’ for our first drink.

This was a mix of Golden Rum, Angostura Bitters, Indian Gooseberry and Lime, garnished with a burnt cinnamon stick and gold leaf pomegranate all served in a camera lens.

To add even more theme to the drink the server also took a photo of us on a polaroid camera to which was then pegged onto our drinks which we sipped away on while they developed.

I loved everything about this drink and couldn’t stop taking photos of it. It felt like a lot of inception - taking a photo, of a photo of us holding the drinks, we were then taking a photo of which in itself is used to take photos, haha.

The second drink we chose was the Controversial. It was a mix of Gin, St Germain, Lime, Cucumber, Mint and Elderflower & Cranberry.

This drink was truly one-of-a-kind, served in a teacup glass. It was refreshing yet tasty.

Alongside Rhia Woods we were joined by Angela Pan & Holly Morgan.

We both finished with Thing With A Zing - a mix of Vodka, Domaine de Canton, Cointreau, Lime and Butterfly Peach Tea Syrup.

This came in a three part concoction with the lime juice and the butterfly peach tea syrup in seperate glasses. The two are separately poured into the main mixture glass and a magical array of purples and pinks transition as this is done.

This is definitely the most beautiful drink - one you’ll need to video to truly capture how spectacular it is. The glass itself looks like a diamond and it had the perfect amount of sweetness for my taste.
